Supporting Boeing supply chain requires major storage upgrade

Aviall Services, a Boeing subsidiary and provider of aftermarket supply-chain management services for the aerospace, defense and marine industries, learned it was taking over Boeing's supply chain management, it embarked on a major effort to upgrade its storage systems. Russell Douglas, director customer and supplier services information systems at Aviall, explains how a new system was selected with major input from end users and what the company is doing to beef up backup and recovery systems.
