Hacker writes Cisco rootkit; Microsoft launches online telescope



A security researcher has developed malicious rootkit software for Cisco's routers, a development that has placed increasing scrutiny on the routers that carry the majority of the Internet's traffic; Microsoft Tuesday opened the view finder on its free WorldWide Telescope research project allowing Web users to peer into the deep recesses of space through a treasure trove of images.
