There's been a lot of ink spilled over the dwindling amount of IPv4 addresses available and the need to switch to IPv6. But are we really running out or are there large blocks of addresses being hoarded by companies? John Curran, chairman of the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN), updates the status of the IPv4 address space and explains why companies really need to start looking at supporting IPv6.
