Future Architectures for Business Intelligence

The things we are building now are yesterday’s future. There is a revolution coming in the information delivery market and we are at the beginning of that change. The overall picture is fuzzy, but we can see the general outlines of the new architecture. We need to pay attention to the drivers and tease out how they are affecting what we need to do. Like any large shift, it’s being driven by multiple factors: technology evolution, culture change, and evolving business practices. The confluence of these is driving up to the minute data, faster and more distributed BI.
