VMware completes a patch fix; Surgient eyes the future One of the big news items this week had to be the startling revelation many folks had on the morning of August 12th -- their VMware ESX virtual machines couldn't be powered on. And they couldn't figure out why! As VMware worked to complete a fix for the patch problem, the new CEO apologized.
