SaaS for Systems Management

Much of the discussion for on demand software has been focused on enterprise applications while the $9bn+ systems management market has remained largely focused on traditional enterprise licensed software. Is systems management ready for the SaaS model and will SaaS work for managing IT infrastructures such as networks and storage?
